XRP ETFs explained
Since November 2025 you can buy XRP's price in an ordinary brokerage account. Here's how the funds compare.
Spot XRP ETFs are funds listed on US stock exchanges that hold XRP and track its price. The SEC allowed the first ones in November 2025. They include Franklin Templeton's XRPZ (0.19% yearly fee), plus funds from 21Shares, Bitwise, Grayscale, Canary and REX-Osprey. You own fund shares, not XRP, and the fund charges a yearly fee.
The US spot XRP ETFs
| Ticker | Fund | Yearly fee |
|---|---|---|
| XRPZ | Franklin XRP ETF (Franklin Templeton) | 0.19% |
| TOXR | 21Shares XRP ETF | 0.30% |
| XRP | Bitwise XRP ETF | 0.34% |
| GXRP | Grayscale XRP Trust ETF | 0.35% |
| XRPC | Canary XRP ETF | 0.50% |
| XRPR | REX-Osprey XRP ETF | 0.75% |
Fees as reported on October 22, 2026. Some funds waive part of their fee for a time, and fees change, so check the fund's own page or prospectus before buying.
On $5,000, a 0.19% fee costs about $9.50 a year and a 0.75% fee about $37.50. Fund structures differ too: some hold only XRP, while others (such as REX-Osprey's) use a different legal structure, so read what the fund actually holds.
Do XRP ETFs pay dividends?
Funds that simply hold XRP don't, because XRP earns no income on its own. Any fund advertising a yield is doing something extra, such as selling options, and its returns will differ from XRP's price.
ETF or the coin?
An ETF fits a brokerage account or IRA and removes the risk of losing your own keys, but you pay a yearly fee, trade only during market hours and can't send the XRP anywhere. Buying XRP directly costs no yearly fee but means choosing an exchange or wallet. The price risk is identical either way. See Bitcoin ETFs explained for how these funds work in general.
